“Love is a burnin’ thing…” the song lyrics tell us. However, there is another “ring of fire” and that is an Annular Solar Eclipse. With a Total Solar Eclipse, at totality the Moon blacks out the entire disk of the Sun. With an Annular Eclipse at totality a dramatic ring of fire is seen around the blackened disk of the Sun. The Solar Year that began at Winter Solstice 2019 features back to back Annular Eclipses: in EST, minutes into12/26/2019 and again less than 24 hours after Summer Solstice at 2:41 a.m. EST on Father’s Day.

Merry Christmas 2019, but not so happy 2020

The path (pathology?) of this Eclipse began in totality at Sunrise (a rarity), in the desert of oil-rich Saudi Arabia, near the Persian Gulf, continued over Qatar, the United Arab Emirates very near the Strait of Hormuz (with Iran just on the other side). The path continued, but for now we will deal with the immediate. F.Y.I.: There is about 75% of Eclipse totality in central Iran, approaching 100% in Iran nearest the Strait of Hormuz. Prior to this time, approximately 20% of all oil shipped worldwide comes through this “Dire Strait.”

Oil is a Burnin' thing

           “Love is a burnin’ thing” but so is hate, so is fear, when it comes to Ring of Fire Eclipses. The Sun in astrology is associated with some V.I.P. like a king or queen or celebrity (the Sun is a star, a pseudonym for celebrity). When there is a Solar Eclipse, it can correspond to the death of some notable V.I.P. The Iranian V.I.P. general was killed in a literal ring of fire. Meanwhile, like some inept sorcerer’s apprentice, Trump has fallen into his own (and our own) “ring of fire.”
         “There is no way to be in that kind of hell, no way to extinguish a flame that burns, burns, burns.” As Oliver Hardy’s character used to say to Stan Laurel’s character, “This is another fine mess you’ve gotten me into” except the whole world is in Trump’s fiery mess. Junk food heartburn is the least of the Donald’s problems now. Definitely included in this Ring of Fire are the millions of people in Iran. Already starved and denied medicine importation under months of bipartisan “sanctions” by the U.S., this Eclipse time doesn’t bode well for anything getting better. If anything, astrologically speaking, things are likely to get even much worse there.

“I - RAN” Into a Burning Ring of Fire

      For copyright reasons, I cannot share the visually impressive map of how Iran is surrounding by U.S. military bases, many practically right on its border. Closest U.S. bases include 2 on the Turkey-Iran border; 3 in S.E. Iraq on the Persian Gulf; 1 each in Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emigrates, 2 in Oman, each on the Persian Gulf; 1 in Saudi Arabia; 3 on the Iran-Afghanistan border; 1 in Pakistan near its border with Iran, with many more bases a bit further away, and U.S. ships nearby at sea. 
      If you are one of those people who (correctly or incorrectly) see China or Russia as enemy # 1 of the U.S., imagine a map of the contiguous 48 states, with multiple Chinese or Russian enemy bases lining the Mexican side of the U.S. border on one side and the Canadian side of the U.S. border on the other, and enemy ships sailing up and down the Atlantic and Pacific, and across the Gulf of Mexico. Visualizing or actually viewing such a map of Iran shows that the U.S., before Trump and very much now, it is obvious that Iran is in the sights of, the line of fire of, the Ring of Fire of, the United States military directed by whoever is the current commander in chief.

       Active military veteran and Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard very recently tried to introduce into federal legislation a law that would forbid any U.S. President acting on his (or her) own to start a war against Iran. Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and the overwhelming majority of Democrat Representatives refused to endorse this wise law. Nancy, Chuck, et al, “This is another fine mess that you’ve gotten us into!” Meanwhile in the Senate, Bernie Sanders has spoken out against this madness, while (former Republican) Senator Elizabeth Warren didn’t seem to have any problem with assassination, other than being left out of the signing off process. “Anyone for WW III? Oh what a lovely game!”

LUNAR ECLIPSE JANUARY 10TH

      The full emotional impact of this recent major event culminates on Friday 1/10/2020 2:21pm EST. Grief, fear, sadness and a jumble of other emotions will likely manifest. Polarities are likely to be extremely pronounced between those expressive of human feelings and those in denial of, and dismissive of human feelings. To some, it may seem like full-blown lunacy is manifesting, with one seeing the other as “the lunatic.”

      Another rarity, we have the next Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse at Summer Solstice. That degree image involves a change of allegiance. The eclipse path touches the India – Pakistan border, to name just one location.
